Do not, on a rainy day, ask your child what he feels like doing, because I assure you that what he feels like doing, you won't feel like watching. ~ Anonymous
With over 300 days of sun a year, Mallorca does not have many rainy days. But, when it rains, it pours. Certain months of the year are more prone to rain – namely, September and March/April. The last few years, we have gotten more freak storms that devastate communities like the one in 2018 when the entire island came out to support families who had lost everything. For those rainy days when you need to entertain the children, and yourself, here’s a list of affordable and fun ideas.

Near Alcudia, here’s one of our favorites: Museo Sa Bassa Blanca. Fully immersed in the natural setting of the northern coast, this museum is a collaboration between Yannick Vu and Ben Jakober with philanthropist George Coulon Karlweis. Final Thoughts #
While we all love the sun, sand and sangria, these rainy days are treasures. My husband used to wake up and say, “Another day in Paradise.” After a while, he came to treasure water for the garden and golf course, fresh splash in the sea and a cleaning of the air. He’s definitely a sun worshipper and enjoys his sailing but he’s since found this list and more keeps him quite occupied. The island is full of treasures both inside and out.
