One of the best kept secrets on the island: a quaint, undeveloped beach extending between rocky outcroppings and steep cliffs. Almost 2.5 kilometres of pure, white sand and translucent water, regularly voted the most popular naturist beach in Mallorca. Near Cala d'Or, this is a top beach for families, this beach is 50 metres long and 40 metres wide, not very large. Banyalbufar

Banyalbufar #

My husband has joked for years that the name is really "Banyaltoofar." This an absolute treasure of a place - not for the beach but for the sea views and salty air. This is a magical place with breathtaking sunsets, especially in September. This is your destination if you are drawn to remote villages on the coast. The beach is rocky so swimming or sunbathing are not the allure. To get here, you'll drive through Estellencs or Esporles. To see more and watch a video of the area, click here >> Banyalbufar

Sa Calobra by Ursula Elvegard

Sa Calobra #

If being in the scene of a movie appeals to you, this is your secret seashore. Sa Calobra is a secluded spot in stunning surroundings, absolutely unique on the island. A few mega yachts venture to this remote location for privacy and in the summer, you may find a few musicians playing instruments because the tones in this cala produce magical tones. This is a one of a kind place. To learn more and how to find it, click here >> Sa Calobra and Torrent de Pareis

Cala Formentor

Cala Formentor #

In the Top 10 list of best European beaches rated by journalists and tourists, this is a great place to escape the summer heat in the sheltering arms of natural forests and untamed vegetation. This long stretch of the finest, whitest sand never loses its lush green appeal. If you are visiting Pollença or Arta in the northeast part of the island, this place is a must visit to take in the natural beauty. Cala Formentor is a more luxurious area, better for honeymooners and couples than families with children. To find this beach and read more, click here >> Cala Formentor
