Med Yoga

12 October 2021

If the ocean can calm itself, so can you. We are both salt water mixed with air. ~ Nayyirah Waheed.

Editor's Note: Mallorca is definitely a party place. People come here for sun, sand and sangria. Those of us who stay here need a more grounded existence in wellness. To quote an old saying, "Wherever I go, there I am."

This means that whatever you thought you needed to get away from in your former life, you need a way to manage it in this beautiful place. Deepak Chopra, the famous physician and meditation expert, says 'the mind and body are like two parallel universes, and whatever happens in one impacts the other.'

What better way to start the day with yoga on the beach and help save the Mediterranean.

Yoga and Awareness #

Med Yoga is a yoga and awareness initiative by Calm Collective & Save the Med. Calm Collective is a local, bespoke collective promoting wellness and community through day retreats and outdoor yoga for people who value our nature on this beautiful island, especially the sea. And, they want to give something back.

Save the Med is an NGO who work on pollution reduction and marine protected areas through community projects and education. Together, we are organising a monthly fundraising yoga and environmental awareness event.

All you need to do is bring a mat, blanket and some water (no plastic bottles, please) to join in. We will be taking donations for the class of which 100% goes to the Save the Med Projects. Join us to feel good and help toward Mediterranean marine regeneration! Please send an email to let us know to expect you. The link is below.
