Thousands of people dress up to in their era-appropriate costumes to re-enact the failed invasion by the Moors when they tried to invade the Island through Port Sóller in May 1561.

The battle commences down at Port of Sóller and continues on to the main town square in Sóller to keep the historical re-enactment true in its nature, ending with celebrations of victory by the Christians.

The rowdy battle that'll ensue will be filled with traditional costumes, music, wine and celebrations on the beach with a firework spectacle to finish off the celebrations.

If you are considering attending get ready for a day full of chaos and joy, while at the same time learning about an authentic historical event that forms an important part of Mallorquín culture and bygone times.
