Love all the fun and finery of the major horse racing events but can’t find the time or money for Ascot? No need to go away. Now Mallorca has its own sensational day at the races: Hats & Horses!
The Menorcan phenomenon is coming to Mallorca for the first time this Saturday, 26th October and will bring “the excitement of horse racing, the glamour of a society event and the amazing cuisine of the island” to the Hipódromo de Son Pardo in Palma.
General admission entry is free and gives you admittance to the enclosure where you can watch the races from three vantage points: the cafeteria, garden or terrace area, access to the betting area, live music and the chance to do a bit of shopping at the stalls. Additionally, you’ll be able to enjoy several culinary options from the onsite food trucks and restaurants.
Village tickets are also available for €70, giving you all the benefits of general admission with food and drink included, but you don't have to spend all that money to enjoy the event.
Dress code for ladies is fabulous cocktail attire and hat or fascinator. Men are asked to wear a smart suit and hat.
Doors open at 11h, 12h horse exhibition, first race is at 16h and at 18h30 the best dressed are announced and awarded.
